Exploring trails together — open to CUHK alumni and their immediate family members

The CUAAO Hiking Group organizes regular hikes from May through October each year, bringing alumni and their families together to enjoy Ontario’s beautiful trails. The hikes are led by Peter Li and have been a long-standing tradition of the alumni association.

The group welcomes hikers of varying experience levels. All hikes start promptly at 9:30 a.m., and hikers are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early for registration and a short safety introduction.

📢 Schedule Update — September Hike Rescheduled to September 26

As we are short of leaders for our September hike, the hike originally scheduled for Saturday, September 19 has been moved to Saturday, September 26. Please mark the new date in your calendar — we look forward to seeing everyone on the trail!

🥾 Next Hike — Jefferson Forest (Oak Ridges Corridor Conservation Reserve)

Jefferson Forest in Richmond Hill sits between Stouffville Road and Bethesda Side Road, just east of Bayview Avenue. Its trails wind through mixed hardwood forests, meadows and abandoned farmers’ fields. The main trail is paved with limestone screenings and is well maintained and easy to hike, but some side trails have steep hilly sections where the surface is rugged and uneven, so please wear proper hiking boots with good traction. Insect repellent and a walking stick are highly recommended for this hike.
